Fruits and flowers everywhere, but not a bite to eat? Learn foraging skills and discover the native plants that are safe for your plate, such as prickly pear and Texas persimmon, on this identifying and harvesting tour with an expert.

This class is offered Saturdays, September 22, October 20 and November 17, 9 a.m. – noon

Eric Knight was raised as a naturalist in Austin. He has taught classes on edible and useful plants both at the Austin Nature & Science Center and Earth Native Wilderness School and has studied herbalism at the Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine. He is also a co-founder and owner at Local Leaf where he wild-harvests, brews and bottles yaupon tea.
