Get outside this summer to play and learn during our new Summer Family Camps! From garden crafts to bugs and wildlife tracks, our weekly family camps are sure to spark interest in all ages. Register for your favorite weekly themes, such as gardening, Texas rocks and water, or birding. Weekly camp programs will include thematic activities, arts and crafts, outdoor explorations, and lessons with Wildflower Center experts and guest speakers. We know young minds need a lot of room to grow, and the Wildflower Center is the perfect place for getting in touch with nature and learning through discovery.

Here's how this new camp program will work: Each week will feature a different theme, and camp will take place Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week from 9 a.m. to noon. Families will register with one adult present each day as a chaperone. Pricing is per youth for three days (nine hours) of science-based learning. Each youth registered will receive the materials required for all crafts and activities throughout the week. Space is limited and registration is required.

This class will take place in person at the Wildflower Center. Face masks are optional when attending this class. Please review our safety guidelines before your visit.

Cora Bautista

Cora Bautista

Guest Birding Instructor

Meet Cora, bird enthusiast and our newest guest youth instructor! Cora first became passionate about birds just before her 7th birthday, when she found a connection with the chickens at her school and was inspired to invite her friends to learn about and care for them. Cora’s enthusiasm for ornithology helped her form her very own Bird Club, where like-minded people of all ages could learn about the world of birds and birding. Cora enjoys not only birding but also mountain biking, listening to music and spending time with her foster bearded dragon named Hope and her dogs. Cora hopes to support her love of wildlife by studying wildlife biology and ornithology throughout her journey in education.

Favorite wildflower: Pink Evening Primrose
Favorite birds: Cardinals and Chickens
Favorite spot at the Wildflower Center: The swings along the Texas Arboretum Trail
