Join us in the gardens on select Saturdays to play, learn and discover in the gardens. Enjoy different themed family-friendly activities designed for all ages. Drop-in programs are designed for guests of all ages to learn, create and explore the gardens together.
This is a free drop-in program and will be held outdoors in the Luci and Ian Family Garden. Please come dressed for the weather and don’t forget your water bottle!

October 2 & 3 – Fort Flags
Fly your flag high with enthusiasm for another year of Fortlandia! Decorate a flag for your fort and plan out your visit to Fortlandia. Please note: Admission to Fortlandia and the Texas Arboretum is open only to members during opening weekend, Oct. 2 and 3.
November 6 – Discover Texas Arbor Day
Plant the seed of knowledge as you learn all about your favorite trees and discover the different species growing at the Wildflower Center.
November 20 – Fall Leaves Nature Create
Create art with your favorite fall leaves. Make a leaf person, nature critter or even a self-portrait using only leaves.
December 11 – Texas-sized Snowflakes
Get ready for another winter in the Lone Star State with your own Texas-sized snowflakes.
These drop-in programs will take place in person at the Wildflower Center. Face masks are optional while attending. Please review our safety guidelines before your visit.
This program is free with regular garden admission (and does not require separate registration). Presently, admission is open by reservation. Reservations can be made up to seven days in advance. Admission is always free for members!
