Alcohol Inks Workshop: Cardinal (Cancelled)

Explore the bold, flowing beauty of alcohol inks in this art class led by local artist Andrea Patton. You’ll learn to sketch and paint a striking cardinal using alcohol inks, gaining confidence in controlling and layering this dynamic medium. This workshop offers a colorful way to connect with nature through art.
What to Bring:
Please note that supplies are not included. You will need the following materials:
- 4 small paint brushes, flats and rounds
- 1 small plastic pallet dish for paints
- 1 small needle bottle filled with 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol
- Various small bottles of alcohol ink (minimum of red, yellow and blue inks)
- NARA or YUPO paper, at least 3 pieces, size 5×7″
- 1 ultra fine black sharpie
- 2B pencil and kneaded eraser
- Optional: non-latex gloves
- Optional: 1 white ceramic 6×6″ tile
This class is open to beginner and intermediate artists, ages 15 and up. Youth under 18 must attend with a registered adult chaperone. No experience required—just come ready to create!
