Some of the hardiest, loveliest plants of the wild west (and beyond), agaves, yuccas, sotol and beargrasses are some of the most fascinating around. Thick leaves, pointy bits, rosette shapes, soaring stalks, beautiful flowers… these are just some of the characteristics you will get familiarized with during this plant ID workshop with botanist and conservationist Dr. Karen Clary. We’ll also discuss modern uses and conservation efforts around these special species.
This is a three-class virtual series. The last class will be held with Dr. Clary leading a virtual walk of the gardens to look at plants.
