TRIBUTE & MEMORIAL GIVING
General Giving
Celebrate the birthday, anniversary or lifetime of a loved one by giving a gift to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Donations directly support the continued cultivation of Center gardens, research, education and conservation programs. All gifts are acknowledged with cards of appreciation to the honored individual, their family or a designated contact.
Dedications
With the help of our Development and Horticulture staff, the Wildflower Center can help you pick a meaningful way to honor or memorialize a loved one. Dedications must be arranged through the Development team. Gifts made towards dedications are tax deductible. Please fill out the inquiry form and a member of our team will contact you.
Theme Garden Dedication – $1,500
Garden beds in our Theme Gardens are available for dedication. After meeting with members of the development and horticulture teams to view the available beds, the Wildflower Center will create a pre-approved plaque and place it in your chosen bed. Dedication activation is subject to the date of pledge completion and will last for a total of 12 months after the date of activation.
Tree Dedication – $5,000 and $10,000
Ornamental trees and mature shade trees are available for dedication in our Mollie Steves Zachry Texas Arboretum. A Development team member will help you select a tree. Pre-approved standard signage with information about the tree and your dedication will be placed at the tree. The tree dedication will last for the natural life of the tree. If a tree dies within two years of the dedication, the tree will be replaced at no additional cost. Tree dedications include a Supporter level membership for a one-year term.
Texas Hall of Heroes Tree Dedication – $25,000
Oak trees in our Hall of Texas Heroes in the Mollie Steves Zachry Texas Arboretum are available for dedication. These oaks were grown from seeds of historically significant oak trees in Texas. A personalized dedication in honor or memory of your loved one can be added to the informational sign accompanying the tree. Hall of Texas Heroes tree dedications are perpetual and tree locations are permanent. Funds contributed towards Hall of Texas Heroes trees are directed towards the Mollie Steves Zachry Texas Arboretum Endowment, which is managed by the UT Investment Management Company (UTIMCO).
The Wildflower Center reserves the right to move or relocate trees or benches if and when gardens are renovated or redesigned. We also reserve the right to limit access during exhibitions, private events or periods of construction for safety and security reasons.
