In Memory Of Lady Bird Johnson

The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today, Thursday, July 12, at no charge, and the public is invited to come and pay their respects to Lady Bird Johnson by signing the condolence book.

The Wildflower Center is located at 4801 LaCrosse Avenue, east of Loop 1 (MoPac Boulevard) in Southwest Austin. Our phone numbers are (512) 232-0100 or (512) 232-0200.

Wheelchairs are available at the Wildflower Center and there will be assistance for those who need it.

On Friday, July 13, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center will be closed to the public for a private family service in the morning. It will re-open at 2 p.m. Friday and will be open at no admission charge until 5:30 p.m. Friday, as well as from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

After the private service Friday, members of the public may pay their respects to Mrs. Johnson at the LBJ Library & Museum where she will lie in repose.

The family has asked that those wishing to express their love for Lady Bird Johnson should consider memorial contributions to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Tribute envelopes will be available at the Center or memorials may be made online as well.
