Background: The annual Artists & Artisans Festival showcases the work of more than 20 local artists in metal, painting, photography, jewelry, pottery and more. Find unique items such as birdbaths hand carved from natural volcanic rocks, sculptured metal flowers and hand blown glass jewelry. Stroll through our gardens and be on the lookout for spring's early bloomers such as bluebonnets, Indian paintbrush, winecups, Blackfoot daisy, primrose, Drummond phlox and giant spiderwort. Children will enjoy nature inspired crafts and activities in the Children's Little House, as well as mural painting.
During the festival, the store will feature book and print signings. Artist Dalhart Windberg will sign this year's new print “Spring's Renewal” during his trunk show, noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. Many other Windberg prints and limited editions will be available this day only. Illustrator Nathan Jensen will sign his new children's book “Desert Night Shift” and demonstrate his work from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Sue Kemp, official Wildflower Days 2007 artist will sign the “Bluebonnet” print and T-shirts, 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. All previous years' Wildflower Days™ prints will be 50 percent off both days.
