Background: This year’s Wildflower Center Gala and Silent Art Auction honors donors to the Luci and Ian Family Garden that will open May 4. This 4.5 acre garden designed by landscape architect W. Gary Smith will welcome children of all ages for hands-on, creative play among native plants and woodlands. Friends and Wildflower Center supporters will gather at the Gala to celebrate this accomplishment and raise funds for the Center’s work. Nearly half of our annual philanthropic support comes from this event.
The Gala is an elegant gathering in the beautiful Wildflower Center courtyard and gardens. It includes a locally-sourced dinner catered by the Four Seasons. Our renowned Silent Art Auction offers a stunning collection of more than 40 nature-themed pieces contributed from Texas and beyond. The event also showcases our leadership work in environmental sustainability through the use of native plants.
