A Wild Night Out May 2

What:  “A Wild Night Out: Wild About Art, Wild About Wine” at the Wildflower Center features talented artists, a chance to bid on art, wine tasting, local food and music.

When:  6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 2. $50 tickets available on-line or by credit card at the door.

Where:  Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, 4801 La Crosse Ave, Austin, TX 78739

Background:  The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center of The University of Texas at Austin offers a fun night mingling with artists who have donated fine art to the Wildflower Gala Silent Auction. View the nature-inspired works of these artists from Texas and beyond, as well as six antique books also up for bid from the private collection of President and Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson. Enjoy organic and biodynamic wines, appetizers and Brazilian music. Morena Soul will provide an energizing backdrop of classical guitar music, percussion and vocals while guests peruse paintings, sculpture, jewelry and more in the Visitors Gallery. Attendees can bid on the art and have a chance at winning a bottle of wine and other door prizes.

A Wild Night Out features a variety of organic wine and appetizers. The spring event at the Wildflower Center highlights art that will be sold during the Wildflower Gala and Silent Art Auction the following night, May 3.
