Few white, star-like flowers in a dense raceme atop a stalk growing from a basal cluster of long narrow leaves.
The genus name is from the Greek eremos ("lonely, solitary, desolate") and krinon ("lily"). It is the only species in its genus, and it occurs in one of the most sparsely populated parts of the continent.
