USDA Symbol: MOMA

A 4-12 in., colony-forming perennial. Glossy-green, paired leaves stay close to the ground, and the large, showy, terminal flower heads have long, tubular, usually red-orange flowers. A generally low plant with aromatic leaves lining several stems topped by tight clusters of slightly bilaterally symmetrical, tubular flowers.
