Leaf: "Cauline leaves at anthesis ovate, the median ones obtuse and the upper abruptly acutish at apex, shallowly to deeply cordate at base, basal leaves broadly ovate to reniform, rounded at apex, shallowly cordate at base, all crenate along margins. Stipules lance-ovate, lacerate to deeply laciniate with long processes. Foliage, especially stems, puberulent." (Reslit: 2854).
Flower: "Petals pale blue; lateral petals densely bearded; spur 3.0-5.5 (avg. 3.9) mm long, 22-38% (avg. 32%) of the entire spur petal length (=blade plus spur). Lateral sepals ciliolate, lance-linear, with conspicuous auricles 0.83-1.70 (avg. 1.05) mm long." (Reslit: 2854).
