Plant Characteristics
Duration: AnnualHabit: Herb
Size Notes: Up to about 28 inches tall.
Leaf: Proximal leaves usually irregularly toothed or lobed.
Flower: May have as many as 700 disc florets.
Fruit: Fruit is a cypsela (pl. cypselae). Though technically incorrect, the fruit is often referred to as an achene.
