Plant Characteristics

Habit: Shrub
Size Notes: Up to about 18 inches tall before flowering. Flower stalk up to about 6 feet tall.
Flower: The flower head has 50-600 disc florets.
Fruit: Fruit is a cypsela (pl. cypselae). Though technically incorrect, the fruit is often referred to as an achene.
