1 large white flower atop each of several stalks with hairy leaves, most near base.
Little Desert Poppy (A. humilis), found in southwestern Utah, has four white petals; it is generally less than 10 inches (25 cm) high. Yellow Desert Poppy (A. californica), found in southern Nevada and northwestern Arizona, has six yellow petals.
