Native Plants
As a service to the public, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center collects information on native plant societies, conservation groups, governmental agencies, botanical gardens, arboreta, and other plant-related organizations throughout North America. Description: Washington is involved in the National Council of state garden clubs program to try to return our natural heritage of wildflowers to our roadsides by growing from seed and transplanting to DOT in designated areas. Also plant some park areas.
