As a service to the public, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center collects information on native plant societies, conservation groups, governmental agencies, botanical gardens, arboreta, and other plant-related organizations throughout North America. Native Plant Focus: Spring wildflower rescues; seed collection (native grasses, forbs, etc.) & sowing; annual native plant/tree/shrub sale; active restoration and management (including control of invasives) of more than 300 acres covering a wide variety of habitats.

Description: CFC actively engages in natural area acquisition and management; wildlife preservation; wetlands, prairie and savanna restoration and education in the NW Chicago suburbs. Workdays for volunteers occur weekly year-round.
