As a service to the public, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center collects information on native plant societies, conservation groups, governmental agencies, botanical gardens, arboreta, and other plant-related organizations throughout North America. Native Plant Focus: endangered species, low-water requiring plants, xeriscaping, and natives.
Description: An extension of Denver Botanic Gardens, Chatfield Farms is a working farm with 700 acres of native flora encompassing several ecosystems and ten acres of wetlands. The preserve also hosts a 19th century ranch, a farm, a one-room schoolhouse, and two miles of nature trails offering excellent birding opportunities. Chatfield Farms offers recreation, education, volunteer opportunities and special events.
