As a service to the public, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center collects information on native plant societies, conservation groups, governmental agencies, botanical gardens, arboreta, and other plant-related organizations throughout North America. Description: A nonprofit group of citizen volunteers established in 1952. It has established 145 nature sanctuaries in 51 counties of Michigan using no government support. MNA is Michigan's leader in endangered species preservation.
