As a service to the public, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center collects information on native plant societies, conservation groups, governmental agencies, botanical gardens, arboreta, and other plant-related organizations throughout North America. Affiliates are organizations that partner with the Wildflower Center to encourage the preservation and use of native plants in different regions of the country.

Native Plant Focus: Working closely with the City of Evanston, Evanston Treekeepers, Citizens’ Greener Evanston and other partners, Natural Habitat Evanston helps create, restore and conserve habitat in parks, backyards, and schoolyards, at places of worship and in other green spaces. Natural Habitat Evanston educates the public to take steps important for wildlife, such as reducing pesticides, and encourages habitat corridors, such as along the lakefront or the North Shore Channel. A key focus is getting Evanston certified as a National Wildlife Federation community habitat.
Description: Natural Habitat Evanston is a community effort to enhance habitat for pollinators and migratory birds throughout Evanston.
