As a service to the public, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center collects information on native plant societies, conservation groups, governmental agencies, botanical gardens, arboreta, and other plant-related organizations throughout North America. Native Plant Focus: Our focus is soil and water conservation, through a variety of programs such as restoration projects, funding conservation-related grant projects, and educational outreach. Some common goals in all of our programs include the propagation of native plants, removal of invasive weeds, restoring riparian areas, preventing soil erosion and minimizing stormwater runoff.
Description: The mission of the East Multnomah SWCD is to conserve and restore the natural resources of the district for current and future generations by making conservation technical, financial, and educational assistance available and meaningful to all residents and ensuring equitable distribution of benefits and responsibilities.
