Native Plant Focus: To give the community a natural setting to enjoy the wildlife and to conduct tours (especially for school children) for the purpose of teaching conservation awareness.
Description: The Wimberley Birding Society under the leadership of Patsy Glenn designated 1.8 acres of unused land as a refuge for birds and have developed it as an educational site. We have laid paths and installed a bird blind and a chimney for swifts. It also demonstrates land clearing and restoration practices and responsible stewardship of our water resources.
