As a service to the public, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center collects information on native plant societies, conservation groups, governmental agencies, botanical gardens, arboreta, and other plant-related organizations throughout North America. Description: The organization maintains an educational/reference, non-commercial website on the wildflowers, ferns, and trees of the Four Corners states of Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico. The website shows 5,000 photographs and gives descriptions of 1000 species within a 150 mile radius of the Four Corners. In addition to the photographs and descriptions, the web site includes biographical information about naturalists, a glossary, numerous links, a bibliography, definitions of scientific plant names, etc. The mission is to foster an understanding and appreciation of the plants of the Four Corners states.
