As a service to the public, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center collects information on native plant societies, conservation groups, governmental agencies, botanical gardens, arboreta, and other plant-related organizations throughout North America. Native Plant Focus: The Minnesota School of Botanical Art offers a course on the Plants of Minnesota. We encourage our students to explore natural scientific areas and illustrate the indigenous plants of our region. A Flora of Minnesota is currently being planned.

Description: The Minnesota School of Botanical Art at the Bakken Museum is dedicated to furhering the tradition of the art of botanical illustration through teaching courses that combine the scientific and aesthetic in drawing and painting. Courses are designed for those who want to pursue art for pleasure as well as for those who are interested in pursuing the topic in more depth. The school offers two certificates: a Primary Certificate in Botanical Art and a Master-Class Certificate in Botanical Art.
