Little House

Programs at the Little House feature activities such as leaf printing, recycled paper making, gourd birdhouse construction and eco-pot making.

The Little House is a charming one-room house with sweeping views of the Wildflower Center gardens. Itís a special place for our little guests to visit. Children can enter through a small door, help themselves to materials and read, play with puzzles, draw, or look at small nature displays. Its small secluded courtyard has large pots to dig in the sand and a childrenís garden is within view.

The Little House is separated into three focus centers: book nook, puzzle, and drawing areas. A set of little chairs, school desk and basin table was made by painting our mismatched furniture with flowers, butterflies, and ladybugs. The basins can be used for touchable natural objects. Kids slip their art in transparent pockets on quilts hung on doors.

When visiting the Little House, children must be accompanied by an adult.
