Michael Eason, conservation program manager at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, collects seeds from Texas mountain laurel at Devilís River State Natural Area. Eason, another staff member, and a hundred volunteers have collected and stored thousands of seeds from native plants throughout the state for the Millennium Seed Bank Project led by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
