Abstract

Examines effects of fire on nutrient concentrations in Spartina bakeri and Juncus roemerianus marshes. One year after burning, nitrogen concentrations were lower in all biomass types. Phosphorus, calcium, and magnesium concentrations varied according to species and whether biomass was alive or dead.
