Abstract
Performs phylogenetic reconstructions of the Andropogon virginicus complex. While the interrelationships of the taxa were found to be largely concordant with previous studies, this study suggest a different evolutionary relationships for the subspecific taxa of A. virginicus and A. glomeratus. Two new varieties, A. virginicus var. decipiens and A. glomeratus var. scabriglumus, are described.Suggested Citation
