Abstract
Examines the reproductive biology and pollination of Illicium floridanum, considered to be a primitive angiosperm. Illicium floridanum is pollinated by a wide variety of insects, particularly Diptera. Fruit production is low due to self-incompatibility, pollen restricted to short-distance dispersal, and asexual reproduction.Suggested Citation
