Abstract
The effects of sodium chloride on the germination of Acacia seeds, including A. farnesiana, were tested. The relationship between sodium uptake and potassium and calcium is discussed. Sodium chloride adversely affected germination; this appeared to be a result of osmotic or ion effects rather than a restriction of imbibition.Suggested Citation
