Abstract

Assesses the status of Opuntia cacti on the Caribbean islands of Nevis and St. Kitts 50 years after the introduction of the Cactoblastis cactorum moth. Over 22% of total Opuntia cacti were attacked by the moth. However, the native plants persist despite 50 years of exposure to C. cactorum.
