Habitat: Scarce in open areas receiving supplemental water.

Description: Perennial with stems 10-30 cm tall; several simple primary branches; one bisexual floret; no reduced floret below; branches in several whorls; florets-2; lower is seed-bearing. Leaf blades narrow.
