Habitat: Partial shade under Juniperus ashii. Rocky and stoney w/Juniperus humus and soil in interstices.

Description: Yellow, 8-rays and disk flowers. Head 14 mm dia. Rays staminate; phyllaries lacking orange glands; florets subtended by bristles; pappus of scales; Phyllaries erect/ascending; stems not winged; lobe of disk corollas yellow; plant 1.7-2 dm tall.
