Habitat: Partly shady under Juniperus ashei; fairly good soil with humus.

Description: Erect, much branched perennial, 6+ dm tall. Leaves: lower opposite, upper alternate, all deltoid, petioled, serrate. Infloresence cymose w/numerous heads loosely aggregated at tips of branched peduncles. Rays-3 to 5, yellow, pistillate, fertile; disc flowers yellow, perfect.
