Description:
Erect annual to 1 m tall from thick taproot. Stem glaucous, striate, branched above & below. Leaves: alternate; petioles slender, to 4 cm long; rhombic-ovate, to 5+ cm long. Flowers (these pistillate) in slender rect to drooping dense spikes to 20+ cm long & thryses. Bracts 2x length of perianth.
