Habitat: In shallow, slow moving, fresh water; frequently submerged.

Description: Palustrine perennial, erect, single stalked, stoloniferous. Leaves linear, opposite, to 7 cm long, about 5 times as long as wide; acute apically, narrowed to a nearly sessile base. Infloresence pedunculate (to 5 cm), axillary/terminal, sub-globose; flowers sessile, perianth silvery-white.
