Habitat: Edge of thick stand of Celtis, Ulmus, Acacia, Prosopis, Aloysia & Condalia.
Description: Small tree, 4 m tall; bark smooth, thin, gray, outer layers peeling. Leaves coriaceous, sub-sessile, ovate, rounded to emargiinate at apex, pubescent beneath. Fruit baccate, black, 1.5 cm dia. Seed-8, in axial placentation. Seed many, flat orbicular, w/axial placentation.
