Location: N side of Canyon Lake at 880 Military Drive, on Canyon Lake Island.
Latitude: 0.000000

Habitat: Plentiful in dry soils along roadsides.

Description: Perennial 6-12 dm tall. Leaves are spiny with wooly hairs on underside. Pink disk flowers are 3-3.5 cm across. Linear phyllaries have spiny tips.
