Habitat: Adventitious in moist, alkaline soil. Few/scattered, may not persist.

Description: Erect annual, few branched above, to 75 cm tall, densely pubescent w/short recurved & long, soft, spreading hairs. Leaves alternate, ovate-lanceolate, crenate, slightly cordate, to 6x11 cm. Petioles abot 1/2 length of leaf. Infloresence: axillary, androgenous spike; pistillate bracts at base deeply incised, subtending 1-3 flowers, hirsute w/red & white short stalked glands.
