Habitat:
Moist, open, alluvial soil. Well scattered in few colonies.
Description:
Taprooted (7cm) annual, much branched at base. Stalks ascending to .7 m, 4-angled, 3 mm thick, reddish below, light green above. Leaves alternate, sessile, lanceolate, hirsute, sharply acute, 1.5x3 cm, reduced above, coarsely serrate. Infloresence cleistogamous in most nodes. Expanded terminal flower absent.
