Description:
Slender, erect perennial, 40 cm tall, few branched above. Leaves sparse, 20+ mm long, lower ones trifid or bifid,upper ones simple, terete. Heads few, on short peduncles(terminal). Phyllaries; outer 8-10, 1-2 mm long, not half length of inner; inner 8, brownish to greenish-black, scarious margined, 5+ mm long. Rays 8, yellow. Disk flowers yellow w/red-brown veins.
