Habitat: Volunteer in moist sandy soil. Single plant.

Description: Densely tufted annual, 12-15 cm tall. Culms terete, drying to a six member striate form, .3x.5 mm. Spikelets broadly ovoid to slightly cylindric, 1.5x5 mm, with 50+ flowers. Scales oblong to suborbicular, falling off the bottom in series as they mature.
