Habitat: On stoney, west facing hill in sun and partial shade at edge of trees. Seems to favor partial shade.

Description: Strigose-hispid shrub, 5-10 dm tall. Leaves rhombic-lanceloate or ovate-lanceolate, acute at base, sessile or nearly so, sparingly dentate or subhastately lobed, strigose on both sides. Peduncles long, terminal, and solitary. Rays broad, yellowish-orange.
