Description:
Stout, erect perennial with rhizomatous root system, 70 cm tall. Single stalk with few lower branches, crowded above w/short, ascending secund branchlets. Lower leaves linear, to 2 cm long, soon withering; upper ones 1x2 mm. Involucres many, hemispheric, 4+ mm broad. Phyllaries to 3 mm. Rays many, white.
