Location: W side of North-South Path, near ditch & N of the E gate to Robin Estate--Oakwell Farms.
Latitude: 0.000000

Habitat: Understory of large Quercus virginiana, on level, aklaline, alluvial soil.

Description: Tree, 5 m tall, evergreen, thickly branched. Branches short, stout, puberulent. Leaf blades dark green & lustrous above, paler beneath, mostly elliptic, variable to 28 x 55 mm, crenulate-serrulate. Infloresence axillary in 3's(pistillate). Peduncles to 3 mm, puberulent. Flowers 4-parted. Corolla white. Petals united basally, oblong-elliptic to 3 mm long & wide.
