Description:
Erect/ascending annual, many stalks from stout root; younger parts villous, older w/few scattered hairs, about 4+ dm tall. Leaves oblanceolate, to 11 cm long, initially in a basic rosette, persistent, variously toothed or incised. Cauline leaves smaller, deeply incised, alternate, sessile. Corolla yellow. Hypanthium 2-2.5 cm long. Sepals 6 mm w/free tips. Petals 6-7 mm.
