Habitat: Open sun; level, well drained, alkaline, alluvial soil. Nominal moisture.

Description: Taprooted annual, erect, stalk to 75 cm tall; much branched in upper half. Leaves opposite below, alternate above; petioled; mostly pinnatified or bipinnatified; lobes lanceolate, directed forward; upper ones less divided. Staminate heads raceform; pistillate heads in few flowered clusters below.
