Habitat: Half shade. well drained, alkaline, alluvial soil.

Description: Shrub, 2+ m tall, glabrous, branches much striate. Leaves sessile, narrowly linear, acute, prominently 1-nerved. Pistillate heads 20+ flowers; staminate heads w/less than 15 flowers.
