Habitat: Full sun; level, loamy soil; nominal moisture. Among various Poaceae.

Description: Perennial. Many stems, to 20 cm tall from massive, woody crowned taproot. Stems minutely pubescent (retorsely). Leaves short petioled, oval to rotund, to 12 x 16 mm wide and long. Corolla deep violet-blue. Tube and galea to 22 mm long.
